Jean-Paul Beaujar's Apartment

interiors architecture Jean-Paul Beaujard

I wanted to quickly share some images from Jean-Paul Beaujar's gorgeous apartment in Paris that I discovered while browsing the magazine's website. They did a feature on Beaujar and also posted photos of his home and I felt it was so beautiful it deserved its own post!

From Architectural Digest's website:
Situated on the top floor of a circa-1910 Parisian building, the trapezoidal-shape living room of interior designer and antiques dealer Jean-Paul Beaujard features dramatic a 25-foot ceiling and a parquet floor. The romantic space includes a chandelier and rug from the ’50s, and a Jansen daybed. (September 2006) [Photo: Marina Faust]

DIY Spotlight: Lampshade

By far one of the easiest DIY projects I've seen! The possibilities are endless, since all you need is a decent piece of fabric and an old lampshade (or alternatively, you can buy one at a second hand store). The rest of the supplies you can pretty much find around the house. Definitely a project I'll be trying whenever I feel my old lampshades need a little oomph.

You can find the step by step instructions at It's Overflowing.

Minimalist Offices

I love minimalist interior design when it comes to every room in the house: living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, etc. But by far my favorite minimalist rooms to drool over are office rooms. I just love looking at a nice, uncluttered, desk. I doubt I'd get any actual work done, but that's beside the point.

The point is it's PRETTY.
