You can change the entire look and feel of a room and whenever you get tired of it, you could always just put up something else! I find it absolutely fascinating and looking at all these different rooms gives me such a burst of inspiration. And the best part is that there will always be something new to experiment with!

Inspiring Before & After: Bedroom

This before and after is incredibly inspiring. The designers who worked on this room breathed so much life into the space. The biggest changes were the wallpaper, the decorative pillows, and the dark pieces of furniture.

Currently Loving: Wood

Can we talk about wood a little bit? Usually when I think of wood I picture a log cabin somewhere in the middle of nowhere, or some logs in a fireplace, or maybe a wooden counter top. But lately I've really been loving wood as a statement. Wooden beams, headboards, floors... it's simple yet adds a rustic home-y feel.

DIY Spotlight: Placemat Pillows

Love this DIY project that just involves placemats--whether new, used, or thrifted--and converts them into pillows! A super affordable project with a million possibilities.

DIY Spotlight: IKEA Desk Makeover

This DIY project is so inspiring. I myself have an IKEA desk that could easily be upgraded like this. All they did was take a few pieces of wood and join them together to create that nifty squared pattern and then repaint the table. The entire project cost about $5 and it looks like a brand new table. You can't beat that!

Gallery Wall Inspiration

When it comes to gallery walls, I believe you either go big or go home. When I think of a gallery wall, I picture an entire wall covered in artwork that makes a really bold statement. If your wall doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME" then you're doing something wrong.

Featuring artwork on bare walls can add character instantly. I find that you don't get the same effect when you feature photos of your family members. That adds a great personal and sentimental touch, but it doesn't inspire the same burst of inspiration that I get when I look at a wall featuring beautiful artwork.

Currently Loving: Gold Accents

I've been loving gold accents a lot lately. They instantly add some class and glamour to any room, corner, or furniture piece. My favorite gold pieces are usually found in mirrors, lamp bases, and frames. With gold, a little goes a long way. Too much gold and you risk making the room look gaudy and dated.

Taking the Leap

Hello lovelies!

If you're reading this you most likely came from my Tumblr, A Love for Design, where I reblog interior designs and inspiration that I find from all over the web.

I was very hesitant about starting up a blog as I felt reblogging pictures of designs I find inspiring was a great creative outlet for me all on its own. But I found myself wanting to add notes here and there for a specific photo or just showcase a certain trend I've been loving, or an Etsy designer, etc. So many feels that I just never wanted to clutter my Tumblr with but I feel would be a nice addition to it.

This blog will basically be adding to those finds with some explanations to the photos I reblog, tips I find useful, ideas I myself have tried in the past or am hoping to try out in the future, organization and storage ideas, designers I'm loving, and whatever else I find goes with the idea of design and all its awesomeness.

It's going to be  a lot of fun and I'm hoping you stick around and subscribe to my RSS feed or subscribe via e-mail using the handy feature on the sidebar so that you can keep up with future posts.

Posts will be coming very very soon as I am planning on having some sort of schedule set up and have a lot of ideas in mind already. So keep a look out for that in the next couple of days.

Talk to you soon!
